This represents some 873,256 acres of land for sale in the state (accounting for roughly one percent of the state's land). Of the 23 counties in Wyoming, Park County had the most land for sale. The most expensive land listed for sale in Wyoming on Lands of America recently was $30 million, though the median price for farms, ranches and other land for sale in Wyoming was $546,190. The average price of land, homesites and other rural acreage for sale in Wyoming was $2 million. There was 2,869 acres of sold land in Wyoming recorded last month through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects a decrease in sales activity over July 2018 data. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $3.6 million. Park County recorded the most land sales recently in the state. Wyoming is a mecca for fly-fishers looking to cast for trophy brook trout, brown trout, rainbows and native cutthroat trout in the state's 27,000 miles of blue-ribbon, fishable streams. The state also boasts more than 22 species of game fish, including sunfish, crappie, yellow perch, whitefish, pike and sturgeon. As befits a state with excellent hunting for big and small game like deer, waterfowl and wild turkey, hunting land was the most common type of land for sale in Wyoming. Wyoming ranks among the country's top ten biggest states in terms of size, covering an area of 97,818 square miles (63 million acres). Of this area, 97,093 square miles (99 percent) is made up of land, while the remaining 720 square miles is covered by water.
